The practicality and convenience of liquid eggs
Liquid eggs, also known as liquid egg products or egg substitutes, are a convenient alternative to whole eggs. They are made by breaking fresh eggs, blending the yolks and whites, and then pasteurising the mixture to ensure safety. This results in a homogenised liquid that can be easily poured or measured for use in various recipes such as fluffy scrambled eggs, frittatas, cakes, donuts, pasta, mayonnaise, pates and other egg-based dishes.
Liquid eggs are commonly used in commercial food service settings, such as restaurants and cafeterias, where large quantities of eggs are needed for cooking. Liquid eggs typically have a longer shelf life compared to fresh eggs, making them a practical choice plus there is less mess and a time-saving factor when you don't have to crack multiple eggs.
Liquid eggs are a new product in production currently (approx July 2024 release) and product information will be available soon.
